Projectile Motion
This resource provides alternative or additional tier-one learning options for students learning about projectile motion—Physics TEKS (4)(C).
Waves—Properties
Given diagrams, descriptions or illustrations, students will determine the properties of wave motion and wave propagation as they pass through different media.
3.01 Distance and Displacement
In this video, we explore the difference between distance traveled (an example of a scalar) and displacement (an example of a vector), and we review some basic vector math.
3.02 Average Speed and Average Velocity
In this video, we explore the difference between speed and velocity, and their relationship to distance and displacement.
3.03 Kinematic Equations in One Dimension
In this video, we introduce the three primary kinematics equations and apply them to one-dimensional problems. The term "acceleration" is also introduced.
3.04 Kinematic Equations Graphical Analysis
In this video, we analyze hypothetical experiments by graphing position, velocity, and acceleration versus time, qualitatively.
3.05 Kinematic Equations in Two Dimensions
In this video, we apply the three primary kinematic equations to projectile motion problems.
3.06 Relative Motion
In this video, the inherent (classical) relativity of velocity measurements is explored, qualitatively and quantitatively, in both one and two dimensions.
5.01 Radians and Degree Measurements
In this video, students will learn the basics of angle measurements, definitions of various types of angles, radians and degrees, along with arc length and area of a sector.
5.02 Linear and Angular Velocity
In this video, students will learn about angular and linear velocity and how each relates to unit conversions.
1.03 Algebra of Functions
In this video, students will learn about the algebra of functions, including composition, and the domain restrictions associated with each case.
1.04 Inverse Functions
In this video, students will learn about inverse functions and how the original function and its inverse are related.
1.05 Graphs of Functions
In this video, students will review the graphs of several common functions along with transformations, reflections, stretching, compressing, and symmetry.
3.01 Exponential Functions
In this video, students will learn the definition of exponential functions and their properties.
3.02 Exponential Graphs
In this video, students will learn to graph exponential functions.
3.03 Logarithmic Functions
In this video, students will learn the definition of logarithmic functions and their properties.
3.04 Logarithmic Graphs
In this video students will learn to graph logarithmic functions.
3.05 Solving Exponential Equations
In this video students will learn how to solve equations with exponential functions.
3.06 Solving Logarithmic Equations
In this video students will learn how to solve equations with logarithmic functions.
3.07 Compound Interest
In this video students will learn about compound interest and how to calculate it using exponential functions.
