Texas Courses Update
Professional development courses for CPE credit are transitioning to a new course platform—TEALearn; professional development courses are no longer available through the Texas Gateway. New Resource Link to Test
Here's the new resource link to test. Let's hope this is a go!
Pizza Place Value
Students compose and decompose numbers up to 1,200 in more than one way by participating in a teacher-created Three Act Task using a real-world scenario.
Cooking Up Word Problems
Students rotate through four stations, collaboratively utilizing different strategies and manipulatives to analyze, explore, solve, and generate real-world culinary problem situations.
Are You in Your Place?
Students will be able to use concrete and pictorial models to compose and decompose numbers with place value.
Fractions with Multi-Step Problems
Students will be able to work collaboratively while baking to find the least common multiples of fractions with unlike denominators and create equivalent fractions, then add or subtract.
Earth’s Movements
Students will work in small collaborative groups to demonstrate the rotation of the Earth as it revolves around the Sun which creates a day and night cycle.
Place Value Party
In learning stations, students prepare for a birthday party by using their knowledge of place value to compose, decompose, and represent numbers using standard, word, and expanded forms.
Particular Polygons
Students will be able to classify 2D figures by analyzing their attributes.
Solving Word Problems with Friends
Students will work in groups and solve one-step word problems using a protocol to guide their thinking.
Civil War Inferring
Students will use Social Studies Weekly newspaper to make inferences about historical events using schema and text evidence.
Mathematics Achievement Academy: Formative Assessment and Applying the Content Across the Strands, Grade 2 Trainer Resource
In this training, participants will explore six components of formative assessment and related implementation considerations, and through hands-on activities focusing on measurement and data, make connections to whole number operations and fraction concepts.
Mathematics Achievement Academy: Formative Assessment and Applying the Content Across the Strands, Grades K-1 Participant Resource
This resource contains the materials and documents previously accessed in the Mathematics Achievement Academy: Formative Assessment and Applying the Content Across the Strands, Grades K-1 training.

Retelling Fiction with Logical Order
Students will be able to understand how to retell a fictional story in logical order using transitional words.
Sticky Note Summarizing
Students will determine the important parts of a story and recognize and compose an individual summary by using color-coordinated sticky notes and the Somebody, Wanted, But, So, Then (SWBST) strategy. Students will practice correctly identifying the parts of the SWBST strategy during a read-aloud. Students will work in groups and read a short story together, identify key components, and compose a written summary. Put on Your Detective Cap: Making Inferences
Students pretend to be detectives while being presented with various pictorial and textual clues that lead them to make an overall inference about what happened on Tuesday.
Grade 7 Math
In this course, students will build understanding of the following modules: Thinking Proportionally, Applying Proportionality, Reasoning Algebraically, Analyzing Populations and Probabilities, and Constructing and Measuring.
Each module is broken up into topics where you will find teacher materials to guide the instruction and the student materials both used in the classroom for learning together and learning individually.
The agency developed these learning resources as a contingency option for school districts during COVID. All resources are optional. Prior to publication, materials go through a rigorous third-party review. Review criteria include TEKS alignment, support for all learners, progress monitoring, implementation supports, and more. Products also are subject to a focus group of Texas educators.
Who Is the Culprit?
Engaging in a crime scene investigation, students will collaboratively examine the evidence, make inferences about their observations, and write a detailed description of the crime. Students will then read an informational text about investigating a crime scene and answer inference questions.
