Use a checklist when observing students' use of software applications or programs to create and modify an original digital artifact. The observation checklist can include the following:
- The student starts the application or device appropriately.
- The student logs onto the application (if applicable).
- The student uses the appropriate software or program functions to meet the goals of the ask.
- The student edits or makes modifications to their work product.
- The student saves the work product and can locate it again.
- The student's digital artifact meets the goal of the specified task.
- The student logs off the application or program and device.
- The student is able to work with other students effectively.
