Knowledge and Skills Statement

Data literacy, management, and representation--collect data. The student defines data and explains how data can be found and collected.

Have students use a search engine with a provided list of keywords. Ask students to share details about what they discovered as a result of the search.

Examples:

  • Ocean names
  • United States map
  • How to draw a sphere
  • Types of fish
  • Musical instrument photos

Note:

The keywords should be appropriate for search engine in the digital source, such as an online library, database, or internet, available for student use.
