8 OnTRACK Grade 8 English: Editing

OnTRACK Grade 8 English Writing, Module 2, Lesson 1. Students will learn to revise drafts for word choice, consistenc, transitions, and effective sentence strategies. OnTRACK Grade 8 English Writing, Module 3, Lessons 1-7. Students will learn how to edit a draft for grammar, mechanics, and spelling. Students will learn the function of the conventions of academic language and will learn how to use these conventions when speaking and writing.
4 OnTRACK Grade 7 Math: Number and Operations

Students will learn how to apply mathematical process standards to represent and use real numbers in a variety of forms.
19 OnTRACK Grade 7 Math: Proportionality

Students will learn to use proportional relationships to describe dilations; to explain proportional and non-proportional relationships involving slope; and to use proportional and non-proportional relationships to develop foundational concepts of functions.
7 OnTRACK Grade 7 Math: Expressions, Equations, and Relationships

Students will learn to develop mathematical relationships and make connections to geometric formulas; use geometry to solve problems; use one-variable equations or inequalities in problem situations; and use multiple representations to develop foundational concepts of simultaneous linear equations.

OnTRACK English II Reading, Module 1 Lessons 1–6 and practice lesson. Students will understand new vocabulary and use it when reading and writing.
Study Edge Statistics

In Statistics, students build on the mathematics knowledge and skills from Kindergarten–grade 8 and Algebra I, broadening their knowledge of variability and statistical processes. Students will study sampling and experimentation, categorical and quantitative data, probability and random variables, inference, and bivariate data. Students will connect data and statistical processes to real-world situations and extend their knowledge of data analysis (TAC §111.47(b)(3)).

Study Edge Chemistry

In Chemistry, students will conduct laboratory and field investigations and make informed decisions using critical thinking and scientific problem solving. Students will study a variety of topics that include characteristics of matter, use of the Periodic Table, development of atomic theory and chemical bonding, chemical stoichiometry, gas laws, solution chemistry, thermochemistry, and nuclear chemistry. Students will investigate how chemistry is an integral part of our daily lives (TAC §112.35(b)(1)).
