Inquiry and research: listening, speaking, reading, writing, and thinking using multiple texts. The student engages in both short-term and sustained recursive inquiry processes for a variety of purposes.
Demonstrated Proficiency of ELA.1.13.B
Use a rubric to monitor students’ progress. This SE should be assessed both while students are dictating or composing writing and after students have completed their work.
Example:
- The student never contributes ideas to planning a research topic. The student sometimes contributes ideas to planning a research topic but often is inconsistent.
+ The student always contributes ideas to planning a research topic.
