Knowledge and Skills Statement

Data literacy, management, and representation--collect data. The student defines data and explains how data can be found and collected.

Ask students to identify examples of data that can be collected about people, events, and objects. Ask them to collect three pieces of data related to their classmates or teachers and report the findings.

Examples:

  • Favorite food
  • Favorite color
  • Favorite story
