Knowledge and Skills Statement
Computational thinking--foundations. The student explores the core concepts of computational thinking, a set of problem-solving processes that involve decomposition, pattern recognition, abstraction, and algorithms.
Demonstrated Proficiency
Use a checklist when observing students working in teams to document their progress toward proficiency of this expectation. The checklist might include the following:
- The students discuss the steps.
- The students identify and ask questions about steps they do not understand.
- The students complete the steps or tasks successfully.
