TECHNOLOGY APPLICATIONS.4.5.A — Vertical Alignment

Vertical alignment shows student expectations in the same subject area at different grade levels that are related to or build upon one another.

Previous grade
TA.K.4.A
communicate an understanding that data is information collected about people, events, or objects such as computer searches and weather patterns; and
TA.1.5.A
explore and collect many types of data such as preferences or daily routines of people, events, or objects; and
TA.2.5.A
identify and collect non-numerical data, such as weather patterns, preferred reading genres, and holidays; and
TA.3.5.A
identify and collect numerical data such as the price of goods or temperature; and
TA.4.5.A
classify numerical and non-numerical data; and
TA.5.5.A
identify and collect quantitative and qualitative data with digital tools; and
TA.6.5.A
demonstrate how data can be represented in Boolean expression; and
TA.7.5.A
demonstrate how data can be represented in a binary number systems; and
TA.8.5.A
compare and contrast data types, including binary, integers, real numbers, Boolean data, and text-based representations; and

Breakouts are the component parts that make up a student expectation. A breakout shows a distinct concept a student should know or a distinct skill that a student should be able to demonstrate.
